Main Article Content
Abstract
Retrospective descriptive analysis, of the parameters before, during and after surgery and the anatomy-pathological results for all postoperative diagnosis of posterior mediastinal tumors were treated with endoscopic thoracic surgery at Viet Duc University hospital from 01/2015 to 12/2018. There were 41 subjects, 18 male and 23 female. Mean age 38,7±14,7 (8- 68). Occasional cases were detected in 14 cases (34,1%). Of the 27 cases with symptoms, the most common are chest pain (53.7%). Result CT and MRI have a high diagnostic value (100%), but there were 34 chest x-rays (82,9%) saw shore of the tumor. There are 9 cases (22,0%) of complete thoracoscopic surgery and 32 cases (78,0%) of video assisted thoracoscopic surgery. Mean tumor size is 5,59 ± 1,95 cm (3 -10). The incidence of benign tumors is 100%. Successful tumor removal in 100% of cases, with 3 complications (1blood clotted of pleura,1 empyema, 1 thoracic duct fistula) were treated. Surgical time is 106,2 ± 37,1minutes (60-210). Time to pleural drain stay is 4,5 ±1,8 days (2-12). The length of hospital stay after surgery was 6,1 ± 1,9 days (4- 13). Video assisted thoracoscopic surgery excision of posterior mediastinal tumors is a method of safe, feasible and bring good results after surgery with the indicated tumors.
