Abstract

86 patients (126 limbs) with chronic lower extremity arterial disease, who underwent belowthe- knee angioplasty in Cardiovascular Department 103 Hospital from January, 2010 to April, 2014. The mean age was 70,26±14,71. 75,6% (65 patients) males and 24,4% (21 patients) females. Total 92 techniques with 86,95% success. The Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) after angioplasty increased significantly (0,76±0,19 vs 0,6 ± 0,29, p<0,01). Ulcer or gangrene rate after angioplasty were lower significantly than before (20,6% vs 62,79%, p<0,01). Periprocedural complications rate was 3,5%. After endovascular angioplasty, ABI improved better than preprocedural. Incidence of ulcer or gangrene decreased significantly. Periprocedural complications rate was not high.
