Abstract

Protein-losing enteropathy (PLE) is a rare but life- threatening complication after the Fontan operation. It is caused by the elevated systemic venous pressures associated with the Fontan circulation cause the intestinal protein  loss  by  increased presures  in  the enteric lymphatic system. Treatment of PLE includes: drug treatment (diuretics, inotropic agents, steroids, albumin human...), surgery (fenestration- conection Gore tex with right atrium), Intervention. In Cardiovascular center  -  E  hospital,  We  treated  for patient who had PLE after Fontan operation by fenestration and drugs therapy. The result is good. The case report is the purpose of our study.
