32 bệnh nhân gồm 28 trường hợp một túi thừa và 4 trường hợp nhiều túi thừa được đưa vào nghiên cứu. Nam giới chiếm đa số, 18,75% trường hợp không có triệu chứng, rối loạn nhịp là triệu chứng phổ biến bên cạnh đau tức ngực, khó thở khi gắng sức và mệt. Đột tử do rối loạn nhịp được ghi nhận ở một bệnh nhân. Túi thừa hầu hết xuất phát từ thành tự do nhĩ phải, có thể gây chèn ép các cấu trúc tim xung quanh. Các phương pháp điều trị bao gồm: phẫu thuật, triệt đốt ổ rối loạn nhịp bằng can thiệp, hybrid hoặc điều trị nội khoa. Túi thừa nhĩ phải là bệnh lý bẩm sinh hiếm gặp, thường đi kèm với rối loạn nhịp nhĩ. Cắt túi thừa có tác dụng trong chuyển nhịp nên được chỉ định trong hầu hết trường hợp, trừ hội chứng WPW và hội chứng tiền kích thích thất. Những rối loạn nhịp do vòng vào lại nên được chỉ định can thiệp đốt nhịp hoặc hybrid.
